MEET THE PASTOR

Bishop Dr. Anthony P. Bennett was baptized in the name of Jesus on May 7, 1969. This wonderful

occurrence happened during a revival at the former Bethlehem Temple Church at 133 Commercial Street, Lynn,

MA. Bishop Dr. Bennett came out of the water speaking in tongues. As his commitment grew in the Lord and

his strong desire to serve, Bishop Bennett was quickly elevated to Deacon, Minister, Elder, District Elder and

Assistant Pastor, just to mention a few of his many offices.

On September 21, 1996, Bishop Anthony P. Bennett was installed as the Pastor of the Greater

Bethlehem Temple Pentecostal Church; a man of great determination, remains “unwavering in his faith.” After

49 years serving in God’s ministry, Bishop Bennett enthusiasm, dedication and resiliency continues to serve him

well. In spite of his many accomplishments, he is most contented when he’s ministering to the spiritual needs and

helping people. One of his greatest goals in life is to win souls by reaching out in our surrounding community

and offering his assistance and support. He recognizes and understands that we are all God’s people, and prides

himself in teaching us that we must share in each other’s joys, sorrows, defeats and successes. Pastor Bennett is a

man with a big heart, and a deep abiding compassion for humanity. He has been extensively involved in

charitable activities and was recognized recently by the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World , and awarded an

Honorary Doctorate Degree of Humanities by Suffragan Bishop Michael Hannah for his community service.

Under the guidance and leadership of Bishop Dr. Bennett, Greater Bethlehem Temple Pentecostal #2 was

founded on October 14, 2009, at 93 Euclid Avenue, Lynn, Massachusetts. A few years later, on Saturday,

September 22, 2012, God directed and led Bishop Dr. Bennett to burned the mortgage for our corporate

headquarters, Greater Bethlehem Temple Pentecostal Church No. 1!

In 2014, the Lord had allowed Bishop Dr. Bennett to purchase a 35 passenger coach, renovated the church

house and upgraded the churches’ sound and audio system. With God’s leading the mortgage of the church

located at 93 Euclid Avenue was successfully paid off in 2015. In addition, the Lord has allowed him to

purchase a plow and pick-up truck, add air conditioning in the main level offices and is in the process of

upgrading the security system. September of 2017 the church purchased a multi-family apartment building.

This is just the beginning!

Bishop Bennett is a man that loves God's word, prayer, and Helping God's children.

With Bishop Bennett’s leadership and Sister Mavis Bennett, his beloved wife at his side supporting him in his vision

for the church, The Lord's work continues.

Bishop Bennett married his beautiful wife Sister Mavis Bennett in 1971.
